Waverton boosts Charities Team with double hire
Emma Robertson and Edward Jewson are appointed to the Waverton charities team
Appointments highlight Waverton’s commitment and ambition to strengthen and grow its charity business.
Waverton Investment Management (Waverton) has today announced the strengthening of its charities team with two senior appointments; Emma Robertson, leading on business development and Edward Jewson, as a charity consultant.
Emma joins after 10 years with Ethical Screening where she worked with the Waverton charities team on several existing clients. Edward has a wealth of experience having run his own well known charity consultancy business for many years. Emma’s knowledge of the ethical and responsible investment requirements of charities and Edward’s ability to interpret the investment needs of charities bring considerable experience to the team at Waverton.

Edward Jewson has over 20 years of experience in advising charities and institutions. Edward founded Jewson Associates in 1993 and built it into one of the UK’s leading independent investment consultancy firms in the charity sector until its acquisition by Stanhope Capital in 2011. Following the acquisition he remained a Partner of Stanhope Capital and Head of Stanhope Jewson – the charities and consultancy division of Stanhope. His career has mainly been in the City of London, where he was a director of Cater Allen Limited, the bank and discount house. He has also managed businesses in both New York and Dublin. Edward joined Waverton’s charity team as a consultant in March 2015.
Emma graduated from Bath University in 2005 with a degree in International Management and Modern Languages, and began her career as a Socially Responsible Investment Analyst. She subsequently moved into client management where she worked closely with charities and private clients to develop their responsible investment policies. Emma joined the company in 2015 from Ethical Screening, where she was a client and business development manager, and is responsible for leading the company's business development activity with charities.
