Waverton Breakfast Briefing 29 November 2016
In conjunction withEnodo Economicsand The Fortress Group
As the thermometer dipped and the first chill winds of the winter blew across the UK since the Brexit vote, investment professionals from the wealth management industry, alongside colleagues from the legal and accountancy professions met for the fourth and final breakfast briefing of 2016.
With Brexit having been Trump-ed in early November, surely there might be some good news somewhere in the world? Diana Choyleva from Enodo Economics delivered a fascinating insight of the challenges and options facing China as it negotiates (and sometimes battles) its way forward and strives to define not only a new relationship with the rest of the world, but one very much on their terms.
Jeff Keen, Waverton’s own Head of Research followed up by taking us through the recent examination of the future for real returns. Jeff’s experience and expertise was clear as he carefully explained some of the potential pitfalls looming in global economies.
Finally, Andy Lee from Fortress Group looked at how clients are using company structures to protect their assets and ensure they are able to pass on more of their wealth to future generations.
The team at Waverton were delighted to host the breakfast briefing and extend our sincere thanks to Enodo Economics and Fortress Group for their kind support.
We look forward to welcoming you all again in 2017.
