We unveil a new portfolio service for US expats
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new portfolio service aimed at US expat clients.
The service offers a range of three portfolios to meet differing investment objectives and risk profiles, and can only be accessed via UK and international financial advisers.
The mandates will adhere to an investment process which adopts a global approach to equity and bond selection. They will be managed by investment professionals with experience of managing money for US clients and proven expertise in managing portfolios through multiple market cycles.
The minimum investment in the portfolios is £250,000 or $350,000, and the service is also available for US expats living in the Far East, Continental Europe and the Middle East. The portfolios are custodied with Praemium International Limited who will provide clients with US compliant tax reporting. The Waverton Annual Management Charge is 0.50%. In addition, there are separate charges for the Praemium platform services and the Financial Adviser’s services.
Registered with the SEC since 2002, Waverton is one of the few non-US investment institutions in London to be able to work with US citizens. These three portfolios complement Waverton’s existing fully bespoke discretionary fund management services. Waverton is FATCA compliant and a registered Foreign Financial Institution.
Andrew Vaughan-Payne, a director in the Private Client team at Waverton Investment Management, says: “We have a long and established history of working with US clients, having served foreign trusts with US beneficiaries, US persons with offshore trusts and US expats for over twenty years. We have now decided to provide a solution for clients with portfolios from £250,000 to meet a growing demand for this type of service. This launch offers access to our tried and tested investment management at a lower entry level, supported by fully compliant tax reporting.”
